Roasted chickpeas are perfect for your kids snacks, adding to a trail mix, topping your salad or enjoying just as they are. Although it may seem simple, many struggle with roasting them just right. Here are some easy to follow instructions to make sure they turn out every time.
Drain and thoroughly rinse the chickpeas.
Let air dry on a clean towel for 1 hour.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (quick clean up!) and spread out chickpeas to allow the air to move around them.
Coat lightly with oil using a good quality spray oil - too much oil will make them soggy.
Add your favourite seasoning and roll them around.
To bake, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Bake chick peas for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes. Once the hour is up, turn the oven off and leave chickpeas to cool inside the oven.
